Fusing Anime & Manga Aesthetics With Street & Punk - ORE ORE ORE
In the past few years, we've seen a rise in artists fusing anime with fashion.
But more often than not, these works you'll come across scrolling through Instagram lack originality. Just simply popular anime characters wearing hype clothes. It is rare that you come across somebody doing this in an original, unique way.
Berlin-based artist ORE is one of these artists, doing his own thing, creating tons of excitement. Credited as one of the pioneers of the entire manga/street movement, Ore's unique style pushes the boundaries of traditional anime/manga aesthetics.
Influenced by street culture, hip hop, fashion, graffiti, punk, and cartoons, his distinctive visual identity creates excitement not only on social media, but in real life, and recently the NFT world. His 90s and Y2K nostalgia-style have landed him joint works with a diverse range of names, from Tommy Hilfiger, Sucuk and Bratwurst, Kontra K.
ORE's vibrant, eye-catching style is unlike any other. From the small details to the references you'll find in his work, the narrative he projects is something not many can achieve. ORE often reimagines iconic manga characters in his work, but you'll instantly see it is unlike any other style you've seen before. Not just a box logo slapped onto the character's clothes, not just some sneakers, but full originality, no "hype".
His venture into NFTs has also been a success, with many eyes on his upcoming 10K ORE PFP drop. ORE continues to garner more and more fans into the ORE MOB. Asides from NFTs, ORE also sells prints and a selection of clothing online.
